Leadership for Family Ministries
Family Adaptiveness Fellows Program
Equipping Church Volunteers to Start and Strengthen Family and Marriage Counseling Ministries
Welcome to the Family Adaptiveness Fellowship Program, a transformative 10-month online journey to empower church volunteers to launch and enhance family and marriage counseling ministries. Our program aims to build resilient, adaptive, and supportive church-based family ministries that address diverse family needs.
Why Join the Family Adaptiveness Fellowship?
Families today face a myriad of challenges, including mental health issues, marital strife, the complexities of overseas parenting, and the needs of children with special needs. Our program is dedicated to equipping volunteers with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to help families adapt positively to these stresses and thrive.
Program Highlights
Comprehensive Curriculum: Our curriculum covers key areas such as mental health support, marriage counseling, parenting strategies, and special needs education. Each module is designed to provide deep insights and practical skills that volunteers can apply directly within their church communities.
Adaptive Leadership: Learn the principles of adaptive leadership from renowned expert Ronald Heifetz. This component will focus on how to lead families, ministries, and churches through change, helping them build adaptive capacities and resilience.
Small Group Learning: Engage in small groups of 4-6 individuals for personalized learning and support. These groups will foster deep connections, peer learning, and a supportive environment to discuss challenges and share insights.
Practicum Projects: Apply your learning through hands-on practicum projects in your respective churches or communities. These projects will provide real-world experience in addressing the specific needs of families, helping to implement effective support structures and counseling ministries.
Expert Mentors: Benefit from the guidance of experienced mentors who will provide ongoing support, feedback, and encouragement throughout the program.
Who Should Apply?
This program is ideal for church volunteers who are passionate about family ministry and are eager to develop the skills necessary to support families in their congregations and communities.
